While Kanye was there to receive his Vanguard award, he also had another agenda up his sleeve. While MTV appointed Taylor Swift to present Kanye with the award as a "Better Man" gesture and to keep their ratings huge, Kanye took the time to UN-apologize for his actions during Taylor Swift award acceptance speech back in 2009 and to say "Speak your mind and let no one change who you are".
During Kanye's 2015 vanguard award speech, Taylor Swift remained shocked and couldn't believe that she was once again a part of Kanye's shock to the world.
Kanye also admitted to "smoking one" (weed) before he arrived.
But that didn't stop him from making the spotlight shine on him longer than expected, Kanye took the opportunity to let MTV know that he didn't appreciate the constant run of the 2009 incident to get more ratings and that he doesn't like awards and he don't understand the purpose of them.
