Vanessa Bryant received a standing ovation as she made her way to the stage to speak about Kobe and Gianna. During her speech she became emotional while talking about Gianna, saying she will not be able to see Gigi go to high school, to teach her how to drive a car, to see her walk down the isle, have a father daughter dance with her daddy, or have babies of her own.
Vanessa goes on to say Gigi would have most likely become the best player in the WNBA and she would have made a huge difference for woman's basketball.
As Vanessa begun to talk about Kobe she shared their nicknames for each other, how she was kobe first girlfriend and how they've been together since she was 17. She also shared how romantic Kobe was and how he planned loving events for her. Vanessa also said a couple of weeks before Kobe past he sent her a sweet text saying he wanted them to spend time together without the kids because she was his best friend first, but they never got the chance to do it do to his passing.
